Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association (EWNRA) ready to launch a new project in Ethiopia financed by Jersey Overseas Aid – JoA (https://joa.je/)
A project entitled “Forest Conservation through Traceable Supply Chain Development for Wild Coffee and Forest Honey” will be launched tomorrow, November 23, 2023 in Mizan Aman town of South West Ethiopia peoples Regional State.
This project is planned to be implemented particularly in Shecko and Andracha districts starting from this November. However preparations have been facilitated since last July and after the official launching the project will proceed the actual implementation phase which will last until December, 2027. The total budget of the project for three and half years will be 32, 795, 105 Ethiopian Birr among which 84% will go for program costs and the remaining 16% for the administrative costs.
Higher officials and representatives from the regional state, zonal and district governments, EWNRA and other stake holders are expected to attend the launching ceremony alongside with targeted beneficiaries and community leaders who will be part of the project.
