A project monitoring visit started at Abaya Woreda by MfMCH Management Team from Addis Ababa Office and EWNRA jointly.
The three years project “Integrated Actions for Building Resilient Communities” is underway since 2022 in Oromia Region, Abaya Woreda, West Guji Zone. The monitoring team headed to Abaya yesterday and started to visit project sites in different Kebeles of the district. Today members of the monitoring team have witnessed numbers of project activities and held discussions with beneficiaries and stakeholders including in faraway remote areas.
The team visited sites with Enset beneficiary planted 250 Enstet Seedlings at the end of March and is in a good growth stage and also visited progressing multipurpose cooperative.
They also discussed with representatives of school PHE clubs and sanitary pad beneficiaries. More discussion was conducted with a sheep beneficiary who is a disabled person and has two children.
The team monitored the status of oxen fattening beneficiaries and discussed with Yam, Enset, HDW beneficiaries collecting safe water.
The team which mainly embraced Ato Getachew Zewdie, Country Representative, Dr Martin Guendar from MfMCH Addis Ababa Office and Ato Afework Hailu, Executive Director of EWNRA,
This field monitoring visit is planned to be conducted from August 23 – 25, 2023 and will continue in other project sites in the coming days.
