The joint visiting team from Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association (EWNRA) and the Development Fund of Norway continued its monitoring and visittoday July 12, 2022 at Guraferda woreda Pelia Kebele where more than 1400 households are operating under PFM association.

They are deeply concerned with an investment requests which may threatened the forest. So they asked the team to support their efforts to protect the forest sustainability. The team accepted their request to work togather.

The team also held a discussion with Guraferda woreda government stakeholders. Regarding the investment requests the Woreda representatives shared the concerns of the association and the team. They also confirmed their commitments not to allow any kind of investment at the cost of the forest areas.

The team will continue its visit in other project sites of Southwest Ethiopia.
