A team from Menschen für Menschen (MfM) Switzerland and the Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association (EWNRA) visited the newly established project office in Raphe Town, where they conducted an orientation session with the staff and engaged in important discussions on administrative matters.
The session, aimed at familiarizing the staff with the organization’s operational standards, featured key remarks by senior representatives from both organizations. Ato Getachew Zewdu, Head of Menschen für Menschen Switzerland’s Ethiopia office, emphasized the importance of adhering to the organization’s work ethics, particularly in maintaining discipline and impartiality. He reminded the staff that they are part of the community they serve and should always aim to be fair and unbiased in their roles. “You are from this society to serve back your own society,” Ato Getachew stated, stressing the significance of commitment to the principles of fairness and equality.
Ato Afework Hailu, the Executive Director of EWNRA, strengthen Ato Getachew’s message, reinforcing the importance of ethics, integrity, and loyalty to the project’s mission. He also addressed several administrative queries raised by the staff, providing clarity on organizational procedures and expectations.
The session concluded with an expression of gratitude from the staff members, who thanked the donors for their generous support. They also made a commitment to work diligently, ensuring that the project achieves its objectives and leaves a lasting positive impact.
